Activity Description:

• Get to know how firstly towels came up, the materials needed to make a towel, and the process of making it. At the end of the activity, children will get small towel made by them to show to friends and family.

Do You Know?

• In ancient times, only the nobles who used towels because it considered as a luxury item.
• In 1841, French society started making towels from silk cloth.10 years later towel made out of cotton was first created in London.
• Originally towels were made only with white color only, but now towels are available in many colors.
