Activity Description:

• Kids find out the techniques of how to clean the shoes properly and make people walk happily with their clean shiny shoes.

Activity Duration:

• 10 minutes

Did You Know?

• Shoe polish is a substance that is added externally to our shoes to make them look cleaner and shiny.
• The history of shoe polish started in the year before 1900 when people polished their boots with a paste made out of ash, wax and tallow.

Values Learned:

• Respect – Customers will respect Shoe Shiner for making their shoes clean.  
• Gratitude – Shoe Shiner says his gratitude to the Customers for their trust, and the Customers appreciate the work of the Shoe Shiner.
• Care – Shoe Shiner takes care of the shoes being cleaned gently.

Skills Gained:

• Motor skills – coordinating hands while using shoe polish tools.
• Communication – building communication with Customers.
